The Linha Amarilla project
Which will link the district of San Juan de Lurigancho and Callao, was
awarded to the Brazilian company OAS in 2009 for the second management
of Castañeda and had an initial investment of US $ 571 million.
However, in 2011, then-mayor Susana Villarán changed the name to Vía
Parque Rímac and began construction in 2012.
